Choosing a Bridal Bouquet Shape
There are various ways of arranging wedding flowers in bridal bouquets, from a single stem to a freeform bouquet. An elegantly shaped bridal bouquet can complement even the simplest wedding dress.
This however is usually the brides preference, in short:
A HAND TIED BOUQUET: This will have the natural stems showing and bound in a contrasting organza leaving the stems at the preferred length and incorporating gems butterflies etc.
A POSY BOUQUET: Is an all round design as the hand tied only the flowers and foliage will be secured into a holder leaving none of the natural stems visible giving a much more structured look.
A SHOWER BOUQUET: This is probably best described as a teardrop shape, again following the principles of the "posy bouquet" with no natural stems showing this design can be adapted to suit the bride whether it is to create a full flowing design or a more minimalistic shape. The cascading shape of bouquet best complements a full-length skirt, though with a shorter skirt length, it can result in an unbalanced look.
A TIED SHEAF: This is really just the brides choice of flowers and foliage staggered to create a simple long linear style to be worn draped over one arm giving a very elegant look.
The bridal bouquets will vary in size and price according to your choice of flowers and budget. All budgets are catered for here at Baytree. The shape and style of a bouquet will depend on the individual person and style of dress. As a general rule large bouquets suit long, formal wedding dresses while small bouquets or a single bloom compliment a knee-length dress.
